This is a new, recurring column with fellow Heart of the Rockies Partnerships Manager Jim Williams.

Jim will be writing stories on Montana wildlife from his many years in the field and working for Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks.

High Divide Collaborative 2023 update

The High Divide Collaborative has been busy planning events, making maps, and supporting partners through carnivore conflict reduction work and applying for federal funds. For a full update, read our blog post here.

The High Divide Collaborative is dissolving in 2026. As of January 1, 2026, no new programming will be created.

This website will remain temporarily available to provide partners access to resources and view past work.

We plan to host one final gathering to round out this chapter. The High Divide Collaborative Celebration will take place later in summer of 2026, and we will be in touch via email with partners to provide more details in the coming months.
